St. Paddy’s Day in Kasson 5k / 2.5k
The Main Alternative hosts this family-friendly fun run kicking off Kasson’s annual St. Paddy’s Day celebration. Choose the full 5k or the shorter 2.5k route. All proceeds benefit the Kasson Ambassador Scholarship Fund. Packet pick-up is available before race day — register early for a free event t-shirt. After the run, refreshments and snacks are served, including green beer for those 21+ courtesy of the Kasson American Legion Post #333.

Following the morning 5k, the party moves to downtown Kasson for the annual St. Paddy’s Day community celebration hosted by the Kasson Chamber of Commerce. The afternoon features family-friendly fun at local businesses throughout downtown. The day wraps up with a Bagpipe & Drum concert at the Kasson American Legion. This event runs rain, snow, or shine — it’s a Kasson tradition!

2026 Kasson Boulevard Tree Planting Program — Order Deadline
The City of Kasson is again participating in its popular model street tree planting program for 2026. The city covers 50% of the cost of purchasing and planting a boulevard tree in your front yard. Trees will be planted in late April or early May. Order forms are available at City Hall (401 5th St. SE) or by calling Park & Recreation at 507-634-6010. Orders are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis — don’t miss the March 31st deadline.
