September 2026 Events
Start the week with Kasson’s local business community. This morning networking session through the Kasson Chamber of Commerce brings together professionals and business owners for conversation, connection, and coffee. A great way to plug into what’s happening locally.
Kick off the fall season with a hands-on doormat crafting session. With guided instruction, you’ll create a custom seasonal doormat to welcome the harvest months at your front door. Perfect for a creative evening out.
The Big Iron Classic weekend gets rolling with a casual outdoor kickoff gathering at the Dodge County Fairgrounds. A laid-back Thursday night to get into the spirit before the trucks and the crowds roll in for the main event.
The main event. Over 600 working-class classic trucks on display, vendor booths throughout the grounds, and evening truck pulls that draw serious spectators and competitors alike. This is the anchor event of Kasson’s early fall season and one of the biggest in the region. Two full days of iron and grease.
Them Pesky Kids bring an arena-style cover performance to the Big Iron Classic on Friday night. Part of the Big Iron Classic weekend experience, this live show sets the tone for a full night at the fairgrounds.
A relaxed Saturday morning in the park with paint, ceramics, and a laser engraver on-site. Pick your piece, paint it your way, and optionally have it laser-engraved for a personalized keepsake. A nice contrast to all the truck noise across town.
Grab dinner and support Kasson-Mantorville student theater at the same time. The K-M Drama Boosters host this community burger night at the American Legion to raise funds for local student productions. Good food, good cause, good crowd.
A street-level celebration along First Avenue NW with local food trucks and community activities marking Mexican Independence Day. One of the more festive and food-forward events of the month.
St. John’s Lutheran Church marks 150 years with an evening gala featuring live acoustic music by Presence Music. A milestone event for one of Kasson’s long-standing institutions, held at Saker’s on a Saturday night.
Kasson’s own Oktoberfest takes over Main Street with kid-friendly activities, a Wurst Dog Derby, and yes — a beer mile. A full fall street festival energy right in the heart of town. Families, food, fall air, and a little chaos. The late-September anchor event.
Close out September with a Sunday morning deep-dive into vintage snowmobiles. Classic sleds on display, vendor stalls, and parts trading at the Dodge County Fairgrounds. Starts early — be there at 8:00 AM. A fitting way to close out the month as the first real chill sets into the air.
